Reflecting on the Debate
Answer the following questions. Give evidence when you can!
- What is your final opinion — is the play existentialist or absurdist? Why?
“Waithing for Godot” is an Existentialist play because, Estragon and Vladimir , try to look for the meaning of they live by waithing for something that they don’t know is that exist. Make be for us what does two men was doing don’t make sense buy and they mind do.
- What is Godot a symbol of?
In our discussion about it. We find that godot is a symbol of some god or angel Idk. And they are like waiting for him, even if they don’t know him. For they Godot was like the meaning of they live.
- What is the tree a symbol of?
I think that the tree represent the time because the tree start to be with out leave I like the time past
- What is the significance of Pozzo and Lucky’s relationship?
The relationship between Pozzo and Lucky’s is like the relationship between boss and slave, because Luky’s always do what Pozzo tall hen to do.
- What is something you liked about today?
That I see that most of the people undestand the play, and that every one partisipate, also that the class have good ideas about the play and that every one try to say the own opinion.
- What is something new that you learned?
I learn that the tree represent the time that pass by waithing for Godot, that Estragon and Vladimir still “Waiting for Godot” . and that we think that Godot can be a God.

On the moment that they were waiting for Godot, other two men enter. Pozzo and Lucky, that they have a stranger relationship. Like a boss and slave, because Lucky always do what Pozzo say. Vladimir and Estragon, were scary of Pozzo because his was a rich men. Estragon and Vladimir have a discussion because estragon starts to forget many things while both of then are waiting for Godot, which never show up

3.Write a summary of the climax and resolution (packet 4)
The climax is more when they Are still waiting for Godot and at that point Godot doesn’t appear, they were talking while pozzo was on the floor ask for “Help” and Didi and Gogo thin that he was Godot. Pozzo fall in the Floor and he wasn’t able to stand up with out help because he was blind, and he don’t even know where was lucky. So he was asking Didi and Gogo for help. Didi and Gogo both were disappointed because Godot never show up and they were tired of wait for him. But when they see Pozzo in the floor Gogo was able to help him to stand up but Didi was so disappointed that he doesn’t want, and he was trying to make Gogo not help him either, even when pozzo tell them that he will give money to the one that help him.
At the end of the play, do you think the play represents absurdist or existentialism? Why?
